Tender: Technical Assistance for the Corporatization and Operation Improvement of Afghan Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Corporation (AUWSSC)

BCE is seeking to provide technical assistance to operationalise efficiently the corporation of AUWSSC, and provide management and operational assistance to AUWSSC and Strategic Business Units in building their capacity to improve efficiency, commercialization and expansion.  BCE requires the services of an experienced Team Leader / Water Utility Specialist for a contract period of approximately 12 months.  The role will be based in Kabul, Afghanistan.  Specific qualifications and experience include:

• Masters degree in engineering and/or management discipline
• Minimum of 15 years experience in a water and wastewater service utility, including a minimum of 5 years in senior roles
• Demonstrated Team Leader experience in developing country context, including an ability to manage interdisciplinary teams, cultural empathy and sounds organisational and reporting skills
